The Theory of everything – Life, the Universe and Everything

The theory of everything has been discussed for a long time. What I am going to present next is a kind of theory of everything, a theory of existence — in which time, energy, life, and consciousness are intertwined. I am presenting something very new scientifically, which combines physics and metaphysics, thermodynamics, relativity, time, gravity, philosophy, biosciences, cognitive science, and psychology. In order to speak clearly about such complex things, I will explain things in part metaphorically, so that they are easier to understand. The end result is something very beautiful, and finally I will present a formula that puts all this into mathematical form. I will approach the topic largely from the perspective of my own field of science, which is biosciences. I will also present a new exact definition of life and try to explain what consciousness is.

The universe is not only made up of separate particles, but I argue that it is also a continuous field of consciousness and energy. Particles are quanta, i.e. packets of energy, slow and dense energy (energy slows down due to the effect of the Higgs boson and matter, particles, is created). As Einstein explains E=mc2, i.e. mass and particles are energy, condensed energy. Energy flows through time all the way back to the Big Bang. Or that is exactly what we see in time. No more energy is created and all events are its transformation from one form to another. Einstein explains in the Theory of Relativity that time is the distances between events in a four-dimensional space-time. Seconds are like meters, distances between events. In fact, there is only this moment where the past, present and future meet. Nature prevents the past from being changed in many ways (e.g. entropy does not turn the other way) and very paradoxically, even though the future is open and malleable, it already exists. The universe vibrates at different frequencies, which give rise to mass, matter, space-time, energy, consciousness and information. Consciousness and physical phenomena are different ends of the same spectrum. This therefore connects what we understand as “matter” and “spirit”. Consciousness can also be understood as a physical phenomenon.

Throughout history, people have wondered what consciousness is after all. I dare to say that it is a vibration arising from complexity and information. Consciousness is, in its own way, vibrating energy. The neural network of a person or animal is so complex that it allows information to be transferred in numerous directions, this allows controlled movement to begin to occur in parts of the neural network system in its lower parts, when several parts of the system communicate intelligently with each other. I believe that for this reason, artificial intelligence can also achieve consciousness someday. For the same reason, it can be thought that plants and ecosystems have some kind of preconsciousness, which makes them intelligent systems. The Gaia hypothesis is interesting, it sees that the entire Earth would be a kind of organism that intelligently maintains, for example, the balance of atmospheric gases and the carbon cycle. Could the Earth be conscious in some way? In other words, a conscious system experiences rapid oscillations as an intelligent and complex system overcomes entropy, reducing it in the greatest possible way. The secret of consciousness is therefore complexity and rapid communication between the parts of the system.

Time does not flow linearly, but is a manifestation of entropy from the perspective of consciousness. When order turns into chaos, consciousness perceives this change as the passage of time. Entropy, in a nutshell , is the gradual disintegration of everything. A large amount of energy was created in the Big Bang, which continues to flow and disperse endlessly. Entropy is visible as the passage of time. Entropy determines the direction of time. Entropy, or disorder, naturally increases over time. The cause of entropy is so-called Brownian motion, or the random movement of particles in different directions, which, according to Einstein, is caused by their random collisions with each other as the amount of energy increases. If absolute zero could be reached, all particle motion would cease, but this is impossible according to thermodynamics.

The system or the entire universe strives for balance through entropy. Not consciously or guided by any force, but simply the movement of particles in random directions leads to this statistically. This is seen, among other things, as the equalization of various differences, such as pressure differences, temperature differences or electrical charges. This enables solar radiation, the circulation of substances, rain, wind and everything that sustains life. Without entropy, there would only be death. Death is also entropy and it enables life. Death enables the circulation and restores energy and order to the universal flow. There could be no ecosystem without death and the destruction of things.

In Hawaii, a volcano god was worshipped, and people there somehow understood that the entire existence of the islands was based on volcanoes and their destructive power. Without the movement of continental plates, which raises mountains, weathering and erosion, such as the consumption caused by flowing water and wind, which gradually destroys bedrock, we would not have such great biodiversity and different habitats and ecological niches. Dunes, deltas, ridges, mountain ranges, volcanoes are all the result of these forces. When the planet is young, entropy is lower and over time it increases. On the old Earth, biodiversity is therefore greater than on the young one. Eventually, if entropy increases too much, biodiversity would decline, but nature has learned through evolution to maintain order and reduce entropy. Entropy is the endpoint of all energy: eventually all energy turns into heat and chaos.

Consciousness and information are able to locally slow down entropy (for example, life and thought). Life is essentially the ability to control entropy, to create order. Life is a structure that seeks to maximize its resilience and cope with change by guiding itself with information (such as DNA). Entropy decreases in an organism, but increases around it, because in a closed system, entropy, or disorder, always increases eventually. Life creates negative entropy, negentropy , slowing down the flow of entropy and creating form for it for a moment, form in chaos. Nothing in the universe disappears, only form changes. All the fundamental forces of nature (gravity, electromagnetic, strong interaction and weak interaction) are ultimately attraction. This allows all form to arise within the framework of the laws of geometry. Like in a kaleidoscope, the laws of geometry and attraction create order out of chaos.

Is the universe conscious, or are living beings products of the universe, in which the universe itself awakens to its own awareness? The universe is in a way a great wave of energy and consciousness that seeks to understand itself. Every living being is a mirror of it, a small part that looks at the whole from its own angle. Gravity is not just the force of attraction between masses, but the binding structure of consciousness . Connection, such as love and compassion, are literal structural forces that organize the field towards harmony. Poetically, I could say: “Gravity is the force that holds galaxies together and the Earth in its orbit. Love is the force that holds families together and friends together, but also maintains the field of consciousness.”

Everything is one field: energy, time, life and consciousness are different densities in the flow of the same whole. Time is born from the experience of entropy. Life is the creation of order. Love is gravity at the level of consciousness. And the universe — it is energy and consciousness observing itself. The change in entropy with respect to time is equal to the flow of consciousness or change locally in the universe. So consciousness and information control entropy and change it with respect to time. Consciousness could be considered the highest form of being and life would be next. Consciousness and life give  meaning to everything.
